Took car in for a water pump replacement, because I did not have the tools to do it myself. After already doing the disassembly to get to the part and facing a %20 mark-up that the person on the phone told me was there due to the fact I had the part already, the price was $260. That is on the high side when researching estimated cost for repair which includes the part. Because they had to remove a serpentine belt I then get a phone call stating the price jumped to $405. So $145 to remove and reinstall the SAME belt I had just put on the day before??! That's just ridiculous.

Im sorry you felt that the price was too high but the price went up not because of the belt as you suggest but because when we got into the system we found stop leak was added which you neglected to inform us about. We had to spend several hours flushing the system to remove the stop leak so that your car didn’t overheat. This was explained to you and you agreed to the additional charges. As far as the 20% mark up, we do that because our labor rate which is one of the lowest in the area is based on certain margins and part sales is a factor of that margin.

Took my car in to fix a noise in the rear end. They looked everything over, gave me a fair estimate and had the repairs done the same day. I highly recommend this shop.

Nice guys and good prices for an oil change! They are pretty honest and up front about what's going on with your car. They are a little out of the way, but worth the trip.

What a rare find! Honest, friendly, professional mechanics who are also reasonably priced. I had a small light bulb out in one of my headlights. The Lexus dealership quoted me. $250.00 to replace it, because it was so hard to get to and they'd have to remove other stuff to get to it. I did a rant on Facebook about the outrageous quote from Lexus and a fellow Realtor, Karen Spencer told me about Bare Bones in Denton. I took it in and in about 30 minutes that had it replaced for thirty something $$$!

Awesome people , in 17 years of owning trucks I have never taken one to the shop. Always fix them my self. Had ball joints to replace in my older chevy. Ran into some issues so I took it to bare bones. They are not crooks like you hear about other shops. They fixed what I asked nothing more nothing less. Top notch work all greased when put back together. I gotta say I'm very pleased.

Wouldn't go there unless it's something simple like an oil change or inspection. The minute I trusted them with a repair, they misdiagnosed, and it ended up costing me 3 times as much as it should of been. Instead of fixing the issue, they tried to charge me again to actually fix what was wrong in the first place. Try to blame it on me because I said "vibrate" instead of "rattle". When I say I hear a noise and the mechanic says, "it's this", I trust you know what I'm talking about and not just guessing.

Front desk doubted my word as to needing help so I left to find a place that would help me.

If you want to wait two hours just for an oil change.. Barebones is the place for you. Only two people in front of me.. And still took 2 hours. A person that arrived after me left before me! I could see they dropped my car through the wait room window and I still waited another 30 min to get it back. Good prices but I spent way more time then I wanted to, and my time is worth more than their prices. Also they didn't turn my car off all the way, so the battery was still running while I was waiting to get my keys back, 15 minutes at least. I recommend "personal touch" in Corinth for fast and reliable service. Do not recommend and will not be back.
